No hay que caminar mucho por esta ciudad para darte cuenta que San Miguel de Allende (Mexico) es especial. Fundada en el siglo XVI por el monje franciscano Fray Juan esta ciudad colonial preserva un centro histórico magníficamente conservado con edificios de los siglos XVII y XVIII, entre los que destaca la Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel.
Cuando vengáis de visita a Mexico, recordad que la belleza no sólo está sólo en los muros de sus impresionantes edificios. Si quieres conocer de verdad este país tienes que entrar en su cantinas y en sus mercado, Ahí encontrarás el auténtico Mexico. En el año 2008 fue declarada Ciudad Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, cinco años después, 2013 la revista Conde Nast Traveller la proclamó como la mejor ciudad turística del mundo y el portal gubernamental de Turismo de México nombró a San Miguel de Allende como la ciudad más bonita de país… con permiso de San Cristóbal de las Casas y Guanajuato.

You don’t have to walk for long in this city to discover that San Miguel de Allende (Mexico) is special. Founded in the 16th century by the Franciscan monk Fray Juan, this colonial city preserves a magnificent old town with buildings built in 17th and 18th centuries, among which stands out the San Miguel Archangel church.
In 2008 was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Five years later, in 2013 the magazine Conde Nast Traveller declared it the world’s best tourism destination and the official Mexican Tourism site named as the most beautiful city in the country.
When you came to visit Mexico, don’t forget that the beauty is not only in the walls of its gorgeous buildings. If you really want to get to know this country you have to visit its cantinas and markets. There you will find the real Mexico.
