El arte urbano en Barcelona llegó en los años 70. Las calles y muros de la ciudad empezaron a acoger sus primeras obras de esta expresión artística callejera.
Como podéis imaginar estas primeras creaciones fueron vistas más como actos vandálicos que como expresiones artísticas. Tras muchos años de prohibiciones y fuertes multas, el street art ha conseguido hacerse un hueco en el panorama artístico de la ciudad. Hasta el punto de obtener reconocimiento y apoyo de las instituciones. Desde el año 2011, en Barcelona funciona el proyecto Muros Libres. Espacios puestos a disposición de los artistas para que desarrollen libremente y sin ningún tipo de presión sus creaciones.
La continua aparición de obras de los mejores artistas del street art mundial, ha hecho que en Barcelona existan visitas guiadas por los más importantes escenarios del arte callejero. Estos tours tienen la particularidad de que cada semana son diferentes. Una de las características de estas creaciones es que se trata de arte efímero, muros vivos que continuamente cambian su rostro.
Street Art in Bacelona
In the 70s, streets and walls of Barcelona began hosting its first works of urban art. As you can imagine these first creations were more regarded as vandalism rather than artistic expressions. After many years of bans and heavy fines, street art has managed to break into the art scene of the city, to the point of obtaining recognition and support from the institutions.
In 2011 the project «Free Walls» was launched in Barcelona. Which consists in offering spaces to the artists to develop their creative works freely and without any pressure.
The continued merging of works by the world best street artists has lead to Barcelona having guided tours to the most important scenes of urban art. These tours are unique and every week is different, because one of the characteristics of these creations is that it is ephemeral art, living walls that are continually changing his face.
